To The Honorable Mayor Thomas Menino:

The North End Chamber of Commerce would like to take a moment to thank you and your administration for your efforts in keeping the city of Boston safe and prosperous. More specifically, thank you for your timeless work in the North End.

The North End is the safest community in the city and we applaud you for your hard work. Our community continues to reap endless benefits from the administration. The Boston Police Department, along with the Boston Fire Department work diligently to ensure that our city and its residents are safe.

Since you took office, the North End has become known as the safest community in the United States. Because of your administration, the neighborhood, already known as a destination for culture, dining and shopping, is now viewed nationally as an exceptional example of a safe and successful urban community. Bravo for your continuous hard work and numerous successes. The neighborhood would not be what it is without you and continues to grow because of you.

Working with you, the first Italian-American mayor in Boston's history, is a privilege for the North End Chamber of Commerce. Boasting over 150 members, the chamber is committed to preserving the culture and history of the North End as well as promote the growth of its businesses by working closely with you and your administration.
